Dear Ms. Beck:

I was sorry to read of the health difficulties you have experienced this past academic year. After carefully reviewing your appeal to drop PHYS 117B (W 18), ANAT 215, BCHM 218, CHEM 281 and PHGY 215 (F 18) past the academic deadline, I have decided the following:

1. To grant your appeal to drop ANAT 215, BCHM 218, CHEM 281 and PHGY 215 (F 2018). The circumstances outlined in your letter of appeal as well as the documentation provided does support circumstances which are specifically linked to the Fall term 2018.

2. To deny your request to drop PHYG 117B. The circumstances outlined related to the Winter term are not supported by documentation.

I have granted the late drops in ANAT 215, BCHM 218, CHEM 281 and PHGY 215 (F 2018) based on your extenuating circumstances and encourage you to continue meeting with your counsellor I also suggest that you consider taking a lighter course load and evaluate the impact of your health on your studies prior to week 8 of term. If you are experiencing problems that are affecting your course work by that point of the term, please drop the courses by the deadline. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the €œImportant Dates€ section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students and give them adequate time to evaluate their progress in light of their health issues.
