Dear Brooklyn Vincent:

I was sorry to read in your letter of appeal the challenges you outlined and I have carefully considered your appeal to drop PSYC 231, STAT 263 (W 2018), PHAR 100 (S 2018), PSYC 241 (F 2018), PSYC 204 (W 2019), PSYC 100 (S 2019) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file I have decided the following:

1. I will grant your request to drop STAT 263, PSYC 231 (W 2018). The documentation provided with your previous appeal (4452) supports circumstances experienced during that term specifically.

2. I will deny your request to drop PHAR 100 (S 2018), PSYC 241 (F 2018), PSYC 204 (W 2019), PSYC 100 (S 2019) past the academic deadline. You have not provided documentation related to PHAR 100 (S 2018), PSYC 241 (F 2018) and PSYC 100 (S 2019) and in addition to that, your previous appeal grant letter advised you that it was your responsibility to monitor your course work and drop courses by the drop deadlines.

Brooklyn, I am sure this is a disappointing decision but let me remind you that if a student repeats a course, the low grade is excluded from their grade point average and the higher grade is included which means there would be no long term negative impact on your GPA.

Going forward, I strongly suggest that you pause and evaluate your progress in your courses during week 7 of the term and if you have fallen behind in your course work, you should drop courses by the week 8 drop date deadline.
