I was sorry to read in your appeal letter that you experienced health related challenges during this past year. No doubt having experienced severe symptoms, you struggled in your courses. After careful consideration of your letter of appeal seeking Aegrotat standing in BIOL 102 (F 2018) and the documentation you submitted, as well as the information supplied by the instructor about your performance in this course, I have decided to grant your appeal. Your grade in this course will appear on your transcript as an A along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€.

Going forward, I would strongly suggest that you monitor both your health and academics and evaluate your progress in your courses by the week 8 drop deadline. I also suggest that you register with QSAS who may be able to help you monitor both your health and your academics.

I was pleased to see that you made a good academic decision to drop your full year and winter term courses and hope that taking time away from your studies was beneficial.
