Dear Suthaharan Thanabalasingam:
I was sad to have read in your letter of appeal of the passing of your grandmother as well two of your friends and I am very sorry for your loss. No doubt these deaths have been difficult for you to deal with and I will grant your appeal to drop MATH 280 (F 2019) past the academic deadline based on those circumstances.
I encourage you to reach out to our Student Wellness Services office Suthaharan if you need to discuss these difficult losses with someone who can offer you the support you may require. Their offices are located in Mitchell Hall.
Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
Yours sincerely,
Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
