Student Name: Aleksandar Ivanovic
Student Email: littlezebo@gmail.com
Course: PSYC 221
Term: Winter
Year: 2018
Category: Drop a course after the academic deadline
Dear Aleksandar Ivanovic:
I was sorry to read of the challenges you experienced during Fall 2017 as well as Winter term 2018. After carefully considering your appeal to drop PSYC 221 (W 2018) past the academic deadline, I have decided to grant your request based on the circumstances outlined as well as your documentation.
I am pleased to see your academic progress since that time but encourage you to continue to monitor your health and if you have fallen behind in a course or find the material too difficult, you should drop the course by week 8 of term. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the €œImportant Dates€ section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students. I encourage you to consider registering with QSAS, if you have not done so already, and work with an accommodation advisor who may be able to help you manage your academics along with your health related challenges.
Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
Best of luck in your degree progression.
Yours sincerely,
Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
