Dear Caeleigh:

I was sorry to read of the health related challenges you faced during the Fall term and I have reviewed your appeal to change the grades you received in HLTH 270 and PHIL 256 (F 2019) to Aegrotat standing based on those circumstances. After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted and the information I have received from the instructors, I have decided to grant your appeal.

The instructor of HLTH 270 has submitted a replacement grade based on the work you have completed and your grade in this course will appear on your transcript as D+ along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€.

The instructor of PHIL 256 has submitted a replacement grade based on the work you have completed and your grade in this course will appear on your transcript as D+ along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€.

I encourage you to continue to seek support from your QSAS Advisor who can help you manage both your health and academics. I also suggest that you evaluate the impact of your health on your studies prior to week 8 of term and to drop courses if necessary at that time.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

Best of luck in the continued pursuit of your university degree

Yours sincerely,

Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
