I have reviewed your appeal to drop DRAM 200, DRAM 246 (FW 2017/2018), FILM 206, FILM 236 (F 2018) after the academic deadline and your request for Credit Standing in HIST 121 (FW 2016/2017), DRAM 242 and SPAN 111 (W 2018). After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted, I have decided to grant your appeal.

Your grades in DRAM 200, DRAM 246, FILM 206 and FILM 236 will appear on your transcript with a DR notation and your grades in HIST 121, DRAM 242 and SPAN 111 will appear on your transcript as CR.

I have granted this appeal based on your report of the extenuating circumstances that impacted you during the 2017 Winter through 2018 Fall terms and acknowledge that your grades have improved since you sought support from a health-care professional for these issues. Going forward, you should pause to evaluate the impact of your health on your studies during week 7 of the term. If you have fallen behind in a course or find the material too difficult, you should drop the course by week 8 of term. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the €œImportant Dates€ section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
