I am sorry to read that you have been struggling to manage this course along with challenges related to COVID19. I have carefully considered your appeal to drop FREN 106 (S 2020) past the academic deadline and after reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

The grade that you received for FREN 106 (S 2020) will be replaced with a DR notation on your transcript.

I have exercised some leniency in this decision, acknowledging the challenges that COVID19 has had on your studies and life. I am sorry to read that you were misinformed about the academic deadline to drop a Summer term course and acknowledge that you have chosen to repeat FREN 106 during the current Fall 2020 term. Going forward, I suggest that you familiar yourself with the published deadlines at the beginning of each term and make sure that you carefully assess whether you are able to manage your studies along with life challenges before the drop date deadline.
