I have carefully considered your appeal to drop MUSC 171 (S 2020) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this appeal based on your extenuating circumstances but need to warn you that the appeals process is not meant to be used to manage a chronic issue. An appeal based on the same circumstances may not be granted in the future. Going forward, you should pause to evaluate your progress in a course before the drop deadline of the term. If you have fallen behind in a course or find the material too difficult, you should consider dropping the course. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the €œImportant Dates€ section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students.
