Dear Victor:

Your request to complete 9.0 units of electives (including a 200-level ECON course that will count as an elective) on an International Letter of Permission during the Fall/Winter 2020/2021 academic year at Nanchang University in China has been approved on behalf of the Associate Dean (Academics).

As you know, Regulation 14.4 indicates that €œnormally the last two years of the Honours degree are taken in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen€™s.€ However, after reviewing your file and the information that you provided in your Appeal Letter, we agree to this request.

You may now apply for an International Letter of Permission for these 9.0 units of courses through the International Programs Office. We would strongly suggest that you remain closely connected with this office so that you can be made aware of potential disruptions to your international studies if they shall happen.

Note that official transcripts with final grades must be received by the Faculty of Arts and Science Office upon completion of the courses. Please keep in mind that you must achieve a minimum grade of C on each course taken on a Letter of Permission, unless stated otherwise.

Finally, please be advised that a student can complete a maximum of 54.0 transfer units towards their BA Honours degree (see Academic Regulation 16.1.3).

We wish you well in your Winter term studies.

Yours sincerely,

Academic Appeals Office on behalf of

Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
Associate Dean (Academic)
