I have carefully considered your appeal to drop HLTH 102 (W 2020) past the academic deadline and receive Credit standing in BIOL 103, BIOL 111, COGS 100 (W 2020) and PSYC 100 (FW 2019-20). After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request. Your grades in BIOL 103, BIOL 111, COGS 100 and PSYC 100 will appear on your transcript as CR.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

I have granted this appeal based on the severity of your re-occurring health concerns and the fact that your documentation indicated that your health care issues have now been surgically addressed. Going forward, I would suggest that you pause and evaluate your progress in your courses prior to the drop date deadline and drop courses if you have fallen behind. The appeals process is not meant to be used to manage ongoing problems but is designed for students who encounter problems, or whose problems become acute, after the drop deadline.
