I am sorry to have read about the challenges that you have experienced during the current Fall term and I have reviewed your appeal to drop HLTH 445 (F 2020) after the academic deadline. After careful consideration of your appeal letter and the documentation you submitted, I have decided to grant your request.

I was happy to read that you had connected with your department for academic advice prior to the Fall term drop deadline. Going forward, I suggest that you continue to evaluate the impact of your health on your studies prior to week 8 of the term and ensure that courses are dropped correctly in SOLUS prior to this date. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the €œImportant Dates€ section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students and to facilitate the timely completion of university studies at Queen's.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding.
