Dear Jamie Rokin:

I was sorry to read about the health issues that have impacted your Fall term academics. I have carefully considered your appeal to drop HIST 104 and PHIL 157 (Fall 2020) past the academic deadline and, after reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this appeal based on the severity of your extenuating circumstances as well as the proactive steps that you had taken by obtaining academic consideration when your concussion occurred. I suggest that going forward, you continue to evaluate the academic impacts of your symptoms and be sure to connect with the academic considerations team if you feel that you may benefit from deferred exams or incomplete grades in your remaining Fall term courses.

Also, if you haven€™t done so already, I encourage you to register for QSAS so that you can work with an advisor to help you manage your academics along with your health-related challenges.
