Dear Laura Armstrong:
I was sorry to read that you were struggling during Fall term due to health-related issues. After carefully considering your appeal to drop BIOL 205, BIOL 243, CHEM 212 and CHEM 213 (F 2020) past the academic deadline, I have decided to grant your request based on the circumstances outlined as well as your documentation.
I have granted this appeal based on the severity of your extenuating circumstances and I hope that your recovery is going well. I encourage you to continue to work with your health-care team and to consider registering with QSAS, if you have not done so already, and work with an accommodation advisor who may be able to help you manage your academics along with your health-related challenges in your future studies.
Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
Please note that if you wish to appeal for a tuition refund, you must submit a separate appeal through the Registrar€™s office. Here is a link for that appeal:
