I have carefully considered your appeal to extend your Incomplete grade in ECON 223 (S 2020). After reviewing your file I have decided to deny your request.
As you know, Appeal Regulation 3.3.5 notes that Incomplete grades are approved by instructors with outstanding work deadlines extended for a period of one full term after the completion of a class and is usually granted. Normally, this is an option when only a minimal amount of the course work is outstanding. If this timeline is not met, any further request to submit incomplete work or to write a final examination after that term has elapsed must be made through a formal appeal. At that time a careful review of the amount of course work outstanding will be reviewed as will your circumstances which prevented you from completing the course as well as relevant documentation.
I am certainly sympathetic to your situation and realize that this is a disappointing decision but the documentation you have provided addresses the timeline up to August 2020 which is why you qualified for an Incomplete grade in this course, but does not address the time period (Fall term 2020) which is when you were to complete the outstanding course requirements.
