I was sorry to read of the health-related challenges you outlined in your letter of appeal and I have carefully considered your request to drop ENIN 204 (F 2020) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I would like to note that I have exercised some leniency in this decision, acknowledging the challenges that COVID19 has presented and the confusion you may have experienced regarding the dropping of this course. In the future, I would suggest that you confirm on SOLUS that the courses you believe you have dropped have indeed been dropped. Appeals for late drops are generally reserved for those who encounter problems after week 8 or whose problems become more acute and is not designed to amend a student record related to an error when dropping a course.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
