I have carefully considered your appeal to drop ENSC 103 and PHIL 203 (F 2020) past the academic deadline as well as receive Credit standing in GPHY 101 (F 2020). After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request. Your grade in GPHY 101 will appear on your transcript as CR.

I have granted this appeal based on the severity of your extenuating circumstances, but I need to warn you that the appeals process is not meant to be used to manage ongoing problems. The Appeal process is designed for students who encounter problems, or whose problems become acute, after the drop deadline. Instead, I encourage you to regularly pause and evaluate your progress in courses prior to the drop date deadline and if you have fallen behind in courses due to life related or health related challenges you should drop courses by the drop date deadline.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

I am pleased to see that you carried a lighter course load this term which was a good indicator to me that you are on taking appropriate measures to ensure success in the future.
