I have reviewed your appeal to assign the grade you received in ENGL 100B and SOCY 122B (W 2015) to Aegrotat standing. After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted and the information supplied by the instructors about the circumstances surrounding these courses, I have decided to grant your appeal.
Unfortunately, I cannot hear your request for PROF 110 because this course does not fall under the jurisdiction of the Faculty of Arts and Science. If you wish to proceed with your appeal in this course, you must direct it to the Faculty of Education. You may contact Vicky Andrews for assistance with this. She can be reached at andrewsv@queensu.ca.
Dr. Pierce has already submitted a replacement grade based on the work you have completed, which will appear on your transcript as B along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€. Dr. Beamish could not calculate an accurate and fair grade for you in SOCY 122 based on the work you completed so your final grade will appear on your transcript as CR along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€. A CR grade means that you have earned credit for the course and it will count toward your degree requirements but there is no actual grade to calculate into your GPA.
