I have granted this appeal based on the severity of your extenuating circumstances and since you have now received a new ADHD diagnosis. No doubt the challenges related to that disability would have impacted your studies during that time.

I need to warn you that the appeals process is not meant to be used to manage ongoing or chronic conditions but is designed for students who encounter problems, or whose problems become acute, after the drop deadline. I encourage you to continue to work with your health care team but also suggest you consider registering with QSAS if you have not done so already. A QSAS Advisor can help you manage both your health and your academics. This could include taking a lighter course load and would include evaluating the impact of your health on your studies prior to week 8 of each term.
