As requested, I have carefully reconsidered your appeal to drop CHEM 282 (W 2015) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file with the new information presented, I have decided to change my original decision and grant your request.
I would like to note that this is a particularly lenient decision, as I rarely grant an appeal without any supporting documentation. However, in your particular situation I understand your predicament and the reasons why you cannot obtain such information. I would like to remind you that in the future if you continue to struggle with personal issues, please seek help through Health, Counselling and Disability Services located in the Lasalle Building on Stuart St. Appointments can be made by calling their office at 613-533-6000 ext. 78264. I would also encourage you to seek academic advising through the Faculty Office. Appointments to speak with an academic advisor can be made by calling 613-533-2470 or by coming in to the office (main floor Dunning Hall).
Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
