I was sorry to read that you experienced health related challenges this term. Based on your letter and your documentation, I will grant your appeal to drop PSYC 305 and WRIT 240 (F 2021) past the academic deadline.
Brenda, I encourage you to continue to work with your health professionals while you recover, and if ongoing accommodation is needed in the future, you may want to register with QSAS. A QSAS Advisor can offer support for both your health and academics. Going forward, I suggest that you to carefully evaluate your progress in your courses prior to week 7 and if you have fallen behind or you are not performing in courses to your satisfaction, you should drop courses by the week 8 drop deadline.
Another tool to manage your academics in addition to dropping a course by the drop date is our Academic Consideration service. A student can request short term consideration if they need more time to complete an assignment or had to miss a class due to documented extenuating circumstances.
