Dear Mr. Gravel:
I have reviewed your appeal to change the grades you received in FREN 304, FREN 388 (F 2014) and FREN 417 (W 2015) to Aegrotat standing. After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted and the information supplied by the instructors about the circumstances surrounding these courses, I have decided to grant your appeal with the condition noted below.
The AG grade in FREN 417 will be granted pending the submission of your outstanding assignment and completion of 65 of work in this course. If you are not able to submit this work, as agreed upon with Dr. Bénard, I would be willing to allow you to drop this course instead. If you wish to accept this offer, please email asc.appeals@queensu.ca within 21 days of receiving this decision letter and we will make the appropriate changes to your transcript. If you plan on graduating this spring, all final grades must be posted on transcripts no later than May 15.
The instructors of FREN 304 and FREN 388 have already submitted replacement grades based on the work you have completed, which will appear on your transcript as A and A-, respectively, along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€.
Sincerely,
Sue Blake
