Dear Nicholas Swerhone:

I have reviewed your appeal to request drop PHGY 215 (S21), BIOL 369, and MICR 360 (F21) after the Academic Deadline and for Credit Standing in EPID 301, PHIL 362, and BIOL 300 (F21). After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your appeal. Your grades in PHGY 215 (S21), BIOL 369, and MICR 360 (F21) will be replaced by a DR notation and your grades in EPID 301, PHIL 362, and BIOL 300 (F21) will be replaced by a CR notation on your transcript.

I have granted this appeal due to the timeline, severity and academic impacts of your extenuating circumstances as confirmed by the documentation that you supplied. Going forward, I suggest that you consider registering with Queen??s Student Accessibility Services (QSAS) so that you obtain ongoing support from a Counsellor who can help manage the impact of your health on your academics. I also encourage you to evaluate your academic progress during Week 7 of the term and make sure to drop courses that you have fallen behind in, or in which you find the material too difficult, by the Week 8 drop deadline.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

Yours sincerely,

Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
Associate Dean (Academic)
