Decision Letter
Appeal Number: 1087
Decision Date: May 14, 2015
Associate Dean: Sue Blake
Student Name: Cynthia Rizzo
Student Email: 13cmr@queensu.ca
Course: COMM 200
Term: Summer
Year: 2015
Category: Add a course after the academic deadline
Instructor: Darren McCaugherty
Course: COMM 251
Term: Summer
Year: 2015
Category: Add a course after the academic deadline
Instructor: Kate Rowbotham
Dear Cynthia:
Your appeal requesting to add COMM 200 and COMM 251 (S 2015) past the academic deadline has been granted on behalf of the Associate Dean (Studies). Tuition fees for these courses will be charged to your student account once they have been added to your transcript. Your exam centre location has been entered as: 4251 Kingston.
We would like to note that we are concerned that you incurred 3 failures in Fall-Winter 2014/2015 and the possible relationship with workload issues. Two summer courses is roughly the equivalent of a full-time course load so you must make every effort to catch-up quickly, stay on top of your work and drop courses by the academic deadline, if needed. The last day to drop these courses is June 26, 2015.
It is your responsibility to catch up on any late or missed work in the course and the instructor is not obligated to accommodate any student due to late registration. Registering late for a course is not considered grounds for appealing to drop after this published deadline.
Best regards,
Haley
