I am sorry to have read of the passing of your father and want to offer my condolences. have carefully considered your appeal to drop HIST 301 (FW2021/2022) and ARTH 260 (W22) after the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this request due to the timeline and severity of your extenuating circumstances as confirmed by the documentation that you supplied. Going forward, I suggest that you assess your progress in each of your classes during week 7 of the term. If you have fallen behind in a course or find the material too difficult, you should drop the course by the week 8 deadline. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the ??Important Dates? section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students.
