I have carefully considered your appeal to drop ARTH 214, HIST 216 (F21), ARTH 234, ARTH 260, and HIST 223 (W22) after the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I acknowledge that you weren??t connected with health care supports during the 2021/2022 academic year until March of 2022 and I have granted this appeal based on the timeline of your extenuating circumstances as supported by the documentation that you supplied. Going forward, you should pause to evaluate the impact of your extenuating circumstances on your courses before the drop deadline of each term. If you have fallen behind in a course or find the material too difficult, you should drop it before the deadline. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the ??Important Dates? section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students.

I also suggest that you consider registering with Queen??s Student Accessibility Services (QSAS) if you haven??t done so already so that you can work with a Counsellor to help manage the impact of your health on your academics going forward.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding.
