Dear Aaron Chapman:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop GPHY 102, HIST 104 (F21), GPHY 101 (W22), ENGL 100 and PHIL 111 (FW2021/2022) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I acknowledge that you struggled with the changes to course delivery-modes during the pandemic as well as experienced an exacerbation of a health issue during the past academic year. I have granted this appeal due to the timeline and academic impacts of your extenuating circumstances as confirmed by the documentation that you supplied.

Going forward, I want to remind you that it is your responsibility to evaluate your academic progress in your classes prior to week 8 of the term and make sure to drop courses that you have fallen behind in or find the material too difficult in. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the ??Important Dates? section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding.
