I have carefully considered your petition to drop MATH 221, MATH 337 (F09), POLS 367, MATH 414, and MATH 328 (F10) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this petition based on the severity and academic impacts of your extenuating circumstances as supported by the documentation that you supplied. Your grades in these courses will be replaced by a DR notation on your transcript.

I also see that you successfully completed MATH 405 during the 2009 Fall term. As your petition demonstrated academic impacts during this term, I am willing to allow you to receive Credit Standing in this course. According to Academic Petition and Appeal Regulation 3.3.1.4. ??Credit standing is reserved for a course in which a student who has completed all of the work of the class, including the final examination, and achieved a passing grade in the class, but due to illness or other extenuating circumstances beyond their control, earned a substantially lower grade than might have been expected?.
