I have carefully considered your petition to take more than 6.0 units of courses on an International Letter of Permission during the 2022/2023 academic year. After reviewing your file, I have decided to deny your request.
I acknowledge that you had taken 6.0 units of courses on a Letter of Permission in the 2022 Fall term and that you wanted to take 6.0 units of FILM courses on another Letter of Permission for the 2023 Winter term along with your currently enrolled Queen??s courses. I have denied this request as taking more than 18.0 units in one term is a very heavy course load and not required for your program/plan. I see from your Academic Advisement report that you still require 21.0 units of electives in addition to your currently enrolled Winter term courses and would suggest that you take these during the 2023/2024 academic year.
I understand that this is a difficult decision, however I want to remind you that students are allowed to enroll in a maximum of 18.0 units per term including courses taken at other schools. As 3rd and 4th year students are allowed to transfer up to 6.0 units per academic year (Fall and Winter terms) from other institutions, I encourage you to apply for an International Letter of Permission to explore 6.0 units of courses from USST during the 2023/2024 academic year along with your final Queen??s courses.
