Dear Annik:

I was sorry to read of the circumstances outlined in your petition letter. I am sure this has been a difficult time for you and your family, and I have carefully reviewed your request to change the grades you received in MATH 121, CHEM 112 (FW 2022/23) and BIOL 103 (W 2023) to Aegrotat standing. After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted, and the information supplied by the instructors about the learning outcomes achieved and course deliverables completed, I have decided to grant your petition.

The instructors have submitted replacement grades based on the work you have completed as follows:

CHEM 112 (FW 2022/23) will appear on your transcript with a grade of A along with the notation ??Aegrotat: estimated grade?.

MATH 121 (FW 2022/23) will appear on your transcript with a grade of B along with the notation ??Aegrotat: estimated grade?.

BIOL 103 (W 2023) will appear on your transcript with a grade of A- along with the notation ??Aegrotat: estimated grade?.

I encourage you to continue to seek support from your care team and if ongoing accommodations are needed, you may want to consider registering with QSAS. A QSAS Advisor may be able to help you manage both your circumstances and academics.

Another tool to manage your academics is our Academic Consideration protocol. A student can request short term consideration if they need more time to complete an assignment or had to miss a class due to documented extenuating circumstances. Here is the link for information about that process:

Take care Annik.

Yours sincerely,
