Dear Ms. Lau:

As requested, I have carefully reconsidered your appeal to drop SPAN P10 (F 2014), CLST 103 and RELS 131B (W 2015) past the academic deadline as well as receive Credit standing in CLST 102 (F 2014). After reviewing your file with the new documentation included, I have decided to change my original decision and grant your request.

As a result of this decision we reassessed your academic record with these changes in effect. Your GPA is now above 1.60 so the Academic Probation ruling will be removed from your transcript. You currently remain in good academic standing.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

I am confident that in the future you will make every effort to inform yourself of the academic regulations concerning deadlines as they are outlined in Important Dates Section on the Arts and Science web page. These deadlines have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students and to facilitate the timely completion of university studies at Queen's.

Yours sincerely,

Sue Blake
Assistant Dean (Studies)
