Dear Ms. Purcell:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop MATH 121B (W 2015) past the academic deadline as well as receive Credit standing in BIOL 102 (F 2014), BIOL 103, CHEM 112B and PHYS 117B (W 2015). After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

As a result of this decision your academic record has been reassessed and the Academic Probation ruling has been removed from your transcript as it no longer applies. You currently remain in good academic standing.

If you are able to return to your studies for the next academic year, I would strongly recommend that you consider taking a reduced course load. Taking 3 courses per term still allows you to retain your full-time student status, according to the Office of the University Registrar guidelines. If you have questions about this or you would like to go any other potential implications of taking a reduced course load, you may contact the Faculty Office for assistance at 613-533-2470.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
