Dear Ayesha:

I have carefully considered your petition to drop ARTF 101 and COGS 100 (S 2023) past the academic deadline and have decided to grant your request since you are following my recommendation that you lighten your course load during the condensed summer term.

As mentioned previously, going forward you will be responsible for managing the impact of your condition on your academics proactively and not after the fact via the petition process. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the “Important Dates” section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students at Queen's.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding.
