I am sorry to have read in your petition letter that you required unplanned for surgery, and I have carefully considered your request to drop CLST 205 (S 2023) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this petition based on the circumstances you outlined, and the documentation provided, but this is a lenient decision due to the extensive number of courses you are taking this term. We recommend a maximum of two courses during this condensed term, and you have far exceeded that recommendation. For your information petitions are not normally granted due to a student taking an excessive course load.

Going forward, I encourage you pause and evaluate your progress in your courses prior to the drop deadlines and to continue to utilize our consideration process. As a reminder, here is the link for information about that process:
