I have reviewed your petition for Credit Standing in HLTH 101, MUSC 171 (F22) and SOCY 122 (FW22/23) and to drop PSYC 100 (FW22/23), and COGS 100 (W23) after the academic deadline.

Your grades in HLTH 101, MUSC 171 (F22) and SOCY 122 (FW22/23) will be replaced with a ‘CR’ notation on your transcript and your grades in PSYC 100 (FW22/23) and COGS 100 (W23) will be replaced with a ‘DR’ notation on your transcript.

I have granted this request due to the timeline and academic impacts of extenuating circumstances as confirmed by the documentation you supplied. Going forward you should know that it is the student’s responsibility to pause and evaluate the impact of extenuating circumstances on their classes during week 7 of the term. If they have fallen behind in a course or find the material too difficult, they should drop the course by week 8 of term. The drop deadlines, outlined in the “Important Dates” section on the Faculty of Arts and Science web page, have been established to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all students.

I would also suggest that you consider registering with Queen’s Student Accessibility Services (QSAS) if you haven’t done so already for ongoing support managing the impact of your health on your academics.
