As part of the standard process when appealing to the Board of Studies, the Associate Dean (Academic) reviews your appeal submission again. I have carefully considered your level 2 appeal to waive the appeal deadline. It is clear from the documentation provided that you were incapable during Summer 2023 of making an appeal of the Requirement to Withdraw within the deadline. I am waiving the deadline to appeal.
In addition, it is also clear that you are on a new improved regime of medication and are receiving more robust support. My assessment is that the granting of late drop is warranted for failed courses in Summer 2022, Fall 2022, and Winter 2023. The dropping of these courses will effectively remove the Requirement to Withdraw for 1 year, and put you on probation for this coming academic year.
The one exception to the late drop is ANAT 101 (Winter 2023). As you received a finding of departure from academic integrity for the midterm in this course it is not eligible to be dropped).
Moving forward I would encourage you to use the available tools to manage your academics,
including dropping a course by the week 8 drop date deadline, accommodations through Queen’s Student Accessibility Services (QSAS) (https://www.queensu.ca/studentwellness/accessibility-services), and our Academic Consideration protocol. A student can request short term consideration if they need more time to complete an assignment or had to miss a class due to documented extenuating circumstances (https://www.queensu.ca/artsci/undergrad-students/academic-consideration-for-students)
Your progression will be assessed again after you have attempted another 18 units. I urge you to take advantage of the resources above and that your grades are stronger to avoid a requirement to withdraw for 3 years.
