Your petition request to drop BADR 100, ECON 112, LIBS 100, WRIT 125 (F23) after the academic deadline has been granted on behalf of the Associate Dean (Academic).

A ‘DR’ notation will be placed on your transcript instead of a grade for these courses. Please know that a student may not petition to remove a ‘DR’ notation from a transcript.

Going forward, you should know that it is the student’s responsibility to pause and evaluate the impact of extenuating circumstances on their classes during week 7 of the term. If they have fallen behind in a course or find the material too difficult, they should drop the course by week 8 of term. The drop deadlines, outlined in the “Important Dates” section on the Faculty of Arts and Science web page, have been established to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all students.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
