I am sorry to have read of the passing of your friend and want to offer my condolences. I have carefully considered your petition to drop SOCY 336 (W23) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

Your grade in this course will be replaced with a DR notation on your transcript.

I have granted this request due to the timeline and academic impacts of your extenuating circumstances as confirmed within the documentation you supplied.
