Dear Ms. Kwak:
I have carefully considered your appeal to receive Aegrotat standing in DEVS 100B and HIST 122B (W 2015) as well as waive the Faculty ruling that you be Required to Withdraw for One Year. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request with the exception of HIST 122. You may now resume your studies at Queen's University.
Unfortunately, I cannot grant your request to receive Aegrotat standing in HIST 122 because you are not eligible for this notation. In order to be eligible for an AG grade, the student must have completed at least 60 of the work required for the course. Prof. Weldemichael confirmed that you have only successfully completed 10 of the required work for HIST 122. However, given your circumstances, I would be willing to allow you to drop this course instead. If you would like to accept this offer, please email asc.appeals@queensu.ca within 21 days of receiving this decision to confirm and we will make the appropriate changes to your transcript. Your final grade in DEVS 100 will appear on your transcript as C, along with the notation €œAegrotat: Estimated Grade€.

Academic counselling is available through an advisor in the Faculty of Arts and Science Student Services Office (main floor Dunning Hall, phone 533-2470) or through your plan department. The Learning Commons in Stauffer Library also provides a range of services, including workshops designed to improve study skills and develop strategies for meeting the demands of academic life. Further, the Health, Counselling and Disabilities Centre located in the LaSalle Building at 146 Stuart Street (613-533-2506) offers personal and academic counselling free of charge to all Queen's students, as well as individual consultation to aid in coping with difficulties of a more personal nature.
