Hannah, I recognize that you mentioned in your petition letter wanting to request Aegrotat Standing in HLTH 230 (S22) and I acknowledge that you were not able to complete the final exam in this course due to the ongoing impacts of your extenuating circumstances. I need you to understand that this type of online course is designed so that the final exam is what determines if a student has retained the information gained throughout the term. The instructor of this course has let me know that they cannot assess whether a student has met the learning outcomes based only on the other components throughout the term. This means that you are not eligible for a petition request for Aegrotat Standing in this course as an estimated grade cannot be established based on the components that you were able to complete. If you are concerned with the impact that this course has on your GPA, I would suggest that you consider repeating it in a future term. When repeating the exact same course code, both attempts will appear on your transcript however, only the higher grade will be included within the calculation of your cumulative GPA.
