I have reviewed your petition to apply for more than 6.0 units on an International Letter of Permission during the 2024/2025 academic year. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.
As you know, Regulation 14.4 indicates that “[normally] the last two years of the Honours degree are taken in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen’s.” However, due to the exceptional opportunity that you described in your petition letter and the support that you have received from your Department, I will allow you to take up to 12.0 units of courses at Cea Capa Paris during the 2024 Fall term.
You may now apply for an International Letter of Permission (ILOP) through the International Programs Office.
Please know that students are allowed to enrol in a maximum of 18.0 units per term including courses taken at other institutions. Note that official transcripts with final grades must be received by the International Programs Office upon completion of the courses. Please keep in mind that you must achieve a minimum grade of C on each course taken on a Letter of Permission, unless stated otherwise.
Finally, please be advised that you are allowed to complete a maximum of 57.0 transfer units toward your Ba Honours degree (see Academic Regulation 16.1.3) with a maximum of 24.0 units toward your POLS Major.
