Appeal Number: 1260
Decision Date: July 15, 2015

Student Email: 7cm59@queensu.ca

Dear Mr. McIntyre:

I have carefully considered your request to have your appeal heard after the 21-day timeline for submission, and have decided, based on the circumstances you refer to in your letter of appeal, to waive the timeline. You may now proceed with your planned appeal to drop courses past the academic deadline from Fall 2011 Winter 2014.

Please access on the on-line appeals system at: http://www.queensu.ca/artsci/help/academic-appeals/online-appeal-submission After you enter your NetID and password you will now have a new appeal option called €œSubmit a Late Appeal€. Choose this option and follow the steps. Your appeal letter should explain the extenuating circumstances concerning these particular courses, and include any relevant supporting documentation that wasn€™t included with your prior appeal. There will not be a fee for this new appeal, as it will be considered an amendment to your 21-day deadline appeal so the system will skip over the payment step.

In the meantime, you are eligible to return so you may resume your studies at any time. There is currently an €œEligible to Proceed to Honours€ ruling on your transcript but this does not prevent you from taking further courses toward a general degree. To reactivate your student account and register in courses for the upcoming academic year, please complete and send a €œReturn to Studies€ form to the Faculty Office: http://www.queensu.ca/artsci/student-forms

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Faculty Office for advice or assistance.

Sincerely,

Johanne Bénard, Ph.D.
