Dear Ms. Graham:
I have carefully considered your appeal to receive an extension of your incomplete grade in CISC 121 (W 2015) to the end of the 2016 Winter term. After reviewing your file I must unfortunately deny your request.
I understand that you would like to take this course again by attending classes in CISC 121 during the upcoming winter term; however, for legal reasons, we cannot allow students to attend classes for which they are not formally registered in. Therefore, if you wish to attend CISC 121 for the 2016 winter term, you must register for it again. As a staff member of Queen€™s University, you may be eligible to apply for a tuition waiver so you are not required to pay tuition fees (you may consult with Human Resources for further information about this benefit).
Given the circumstances described in your letter and the documentation you supplied, I would be willing to allow you to drop CISC 121 from the Winter 2015 term past the academic deadline instead. If you wish to accept this offer, please email asc.appeals@queensu.ca within 21 days of receiving this decision and we will make the appropriate changes to your transcript.
If you wish to appeal the Associate Dean€™s decision to the Board of Studies, you must submit an appeal to the Board of Studies within 21 days of the date this decision was sent.
