I have carefully considered your petition to drop STAT 263 (F23) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this request due to the timeline of extenuating circumstances as confirmed within the documentation that you supplied. Your grade in this course will be replaced with a DR notation on your transcript.

Going forward, A student can request short term academic consideration if they need more time to complete a component or have to miss a test or exam as a result of an illness or other personal circumstance. Also, it is the student’s responsibility to pause and evaluate the impact of extenuating circumstances on their classes during week 7 of the term. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the “Important Dates” section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all students.
