I have carefully considered your petition to drop GNDS 285, GNDS 315, PSYC 221, PSYC 241 (W24) and ENGL 100 (S24) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this petition request due to the timeline and academic impacts of extenuating circumstances as confirmed within the documentation you supplied. I will also allow you to drop PSYC 397 and SPAN 111 (S24) after the academic deadline as I understand that these courses were also impacted by extenuating circumstances. Your grades in these courses will be replaced with a DR notation on your transcript.

If you decide to return to your studies in a future term as a post degree student, please know that it is the student’s responsibility to pause and evaluate the impact of extenuating circumstances on their classes prior to the drop deadline of the term. If they have fallen behind in a course or find the material too difficult, they should drop the course by the deadline. The drop deadlines, outlined in the “Important Dates” section on the Faculty of Arts and Science web page, have been established to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all students.
