I have carefully considered your petition to drop SOCY 301, SOCY 309, SOCY 388 (F23), SOCY 200, SOCY 302, SOCY 336 (W24), CLST 205, PHAR 100, SOCY 201, SOCY 301, SOCY 384, and SOCY 363 (F24) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this request due to the timeline, severity and academic impacts of extenuating circumstances as confirmed within the documentation that you supplied. Your grades in these courses will be replaced with a DR notation on your transcript.

Going forward, it is the student’s responsibility to pause and evaluate the impact of extenuating circumstances on their classes before the drop deadline. If they have fallen behind in a course or find the material too difficult, they should drop the course by the deadline. The drop deadlines, outlined in the “Important Dates” section on the Faculty of Arts and Science web page, have been established to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all students.
