I have carefully considered your request for a Deferral of an Exam in ASTR 101 and MATH 281 (W25). After reviewing your petition and the information supplied by the instructors of the courses, I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this request due to the timeline of extenuating circumstances as confirmed within the documentation you supplied. It is your responsibility to connect with instructors Hanes and Barthelme to make the arrangements to complete the exams, at their convenience, prior to August 31, 2025. Please know that instructor Barthelme is only available to offer you the deferred exam during the beginning weeks of August.

If you are concerned with the impact that these courses have on your GPA, once you have written the final exams, I would suggest that you consider repeating them in a future term. When repeating the exact same course code, both attempts will appear on your transcript however, only the higher grade will be included within the calculation of your cumulative GPA.
