Dear Mr. Singh:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop PHYS 117B (W 2015), BIOL 102, BIOL 103, PHGY 210 and PHYS 118 (S 2015) past the academic deadline as well as receive Credit standing in BIOL 103, CHEM 112B, GEOL 106 and MATH 121B (W 2015). After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

After reviewing your appeal I would like to make two recommendations.

1. I would strongly recommend that you register with QSAS (Accessibility Services in the Student Wellness Services Centre) to receive academic accommodation for your current courses.
2. I would recommend that you pursue a reduced course load this year and specifically avoid taking any further on-line courses (as per your doctor€™s comments). I noticed that you are currently registered in one on-line course this term €“ if you are behind or struggling in this course please ensure that you drop it by the November 6th deadline. You are also registered in two on-line courses for the winter term. I would suggest that you swap these courses for on campus courses instead. If you need some advice or assistance in terms of what courses to take, you may schedule an appointment with an academic advisor by calling the Faculty Office at 613-533-2470.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

I am confident that in the future you will make every effort to inform yourself of the academic regulations concerning deadlines as they are outlined in Important Dates Section on the Arts and Science web page. These deadlines have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students and to facilitate the timely completion of university studies at Queen's.

Yours sincerely,

Sue Blake
