Academic Plan
Academic Plan
I have recently met with an academic advisor to try and increase my success here at Queens. Some helpful tips that were provided I will be implementing into my daily study routine include:
- consistently updating my calendar with every class and assignment to stay on top of my work
- use the recommended 8-10 hours per class per week guide
- break up studying: not studying for more than three hours at a time and taking breaks to properly split up my workload
- working in order of urgency for assignments
These are some strategies I already use for my daily study routine I will be maintaining for the winter term:
- diligent note taking (in and out of class)
- Using my resources (reading textbooks, watching online lectures etc.)
- preparing before going into a lecture, lab and/or tutorial (reviewing information)
- not over studying and maintaining a healthy sleep schedule
