Petition Letter
To the Academic Associate Dean of Queen??s University,
I am looking to retroactively drop the courses with outstanding tuition fees, totalling 883.05, from the fall 2021 and winter 2022 semesters.
At this time, I was enrolled as a full-time student at Ontario Tech University, and I had never registered for any courses at Queen??s either. Due to losing contact with my parents because of a difference in opinion, my financial support significantly decreased, and I was forced to make changes in my life. This meant I had to find somewhere to live as well as being a full-time student at school, on top of working to support myself financially now. I had to
Attached are all my (unofficial) academic transcripts from Ontario Tech from the fall 2021 semester until present. We had varying views on sexuality and mental illness, my parents did not agree with my relationship with my partner and my parents did not like job I had just started. This took a very negative strain on my (already poor) mental health when they were constantly bothering me about my lifestyle and my choices and, almost landing me in the hospital and thus my partner??s mom allowed me to stay with her. This still meant I had to restart my life ?? living in Kingston was unattainable at the time for me.
Thank you,
Stella Wielgosz
